Pantxoa Carrere and Peio Ospital make up one of the most popular Basque singing duos. They began singing together at the end of 1960s in the Iparralde (“North Basque Country”) and for decades now they have constructed their performance on a pile of sharp and exciting songs. Their songs have been like identity markers, singing to our Basque language, about love, the land and freedom.

Their voices connect in a melodic thread and unite two contradictions: the pacifi c heart of the soldier and the inner war of the pacifist,
