Anje Duhalde (Arrangoitze-1950) belongs to a special breed of musicians and singers. He started alone back in the early 1970’s and is an essential piece in understanding the development of Basque folk and rock music, a living bridge between folk music and rock language.

This live recording offering songs that span his 40 plus years of composing and singing, has two distinct parts: an electrical part and an acoustic part. Supplementing his selfcomposed songs, and other more traditional tunes, are several cover songs including one by John Hiatt, an American musician that Duhalde holds in high esteem.

The song “Gure lekukotasuna” belongs to his early Errobi, the Basque rock pioneer group of mid 1970’s, which pioneered Anje Duhalde Ducau with Mixel Ducau.
